Girl Scouts Just Got Greater!
We're now part of Girl Scouts
of Greater Los Angeles!


Girl Scouts - Spanish Trails will continue to transition with its sister legacy councils in the coming months to build Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles, which began operations on December 1, 2008. This Web site will remain online until the council's new Web site is fully functional. This site will have limited updates beginning December 1. Please visit http://www.girlscoutsla.org/ for the most current news and information for Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles.

Please note that the council is continuing to standardize various operations and procedures from the six legacy councils. In the interim, some processes and programs might be slightly different in the first year from region to region.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue our transition.

Got Pictures??

We always need pictures of troop activities for the slide show on our homepage.  You may email the pictures to Diane Ervin or bring them to any Monthly Neighborhood meeting on disk or hard copy (which will be scanned and returned to you). It would be great if we could have representation from every troop, and could regularly update the photos with more current ones.
So send in those photos now. Please, be sure that the girls in the photo are permitted by their parents to have photos displayed. (Check their Girl Scout registration form for this.) If you have any questions, please, call Diane Ervin.

If you have girls interested in joining Girl Scouts, please have them contact your school organizer and/or Rene' Alpi. To be fair to all girls, girls are placed in order of inquiry.

 

 Activity Permission Slips

  Remember that permission slips are a must for any activity/outing/event that takes place away from the regular meeting time and location.  This includes even those events where parents may be in attendance.  Permission slips must have the date, time location and emergency contact information in order to be approved.  Safety-wise and Girl Scout insurance will only be in effect when an activity is approved by your consultant.

  Permission slips and overnight forms must be approved by your consultant in advance of your activity.  This is not an option.  It is a requirement. 

               

            Did you Know???

You can now register for program events offered by GSSTC- ONLINE! A link will lead you from each event information page to the online registering module. Just complete the required information, click Go! and your registration request is sent.        

Plus, you can now sign up for training ONLINE! Be it Girl Scout Basics, Junior Girl Scout Leadership or Outdoor Overnight training - even the Training Extravaganza. A link from each training calendar page gets you there.

Just fill out all the required information, click Go! and your registration request is sent. For events or training, you can choose whether to be notified by mail or email, and confirmation that your registration was received and processed succesfully will also be sent. There is a link from the Las Cab website to online registration. Check it out!
